Follow on Google News | Sister still searching for man missing one yearOne year later, no sign of missing man from Havana, Arkansas
By: Karen Ranoni, LostNMissing Inc Cox was last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, light gray sweat pants and gray tennis shoes. He was reported to suffer from a neurological disorder and is not able to speak and may be disoriented. A Silver Alert was issued to the public to be aware of Cox's missing status. Silver Alerts are for elderly and those with cognitive brain dysfunctions. The public can sign for notifications of adults, or missing children, by applying for email alerts at the Arkansas State Police website at https://www.ark.org/ Cox's father, Gene Cox, adds "No parent should ever have to endure the pain of not knowing where their child is, even if that child is an adult." he further explains, "We know that Robert could not have gone far as he walks with his head down, chin resting on chest, while shuffling his feet." "Something must have happened to my son and I need to know. If he is gone, he deserves to be buried properly. He is my son." his father states sadly. Both father and sister are clear that there is no way possible that Cox could have walked very far on his own. Numerous searches have been conducted by the police, his sister and friends. His family is terribly worried over his wellbeing and ask the public to please come forward should they have any information on the whereabouts of Cox. "A year is longer than I ever imagined that I would go without seeing my brother." said Carter. A Facebook page has been dedicated for Cox by the nonprofit organization, LostNMissing Inc, at "Missing: Robert Wayne Cox, 57." He has since turned 58 years old. His missing poster is available at this link: http://i250.photobucket.com/ If anyone has information about Cox's whereabouts they are asked to the Yell County Sheriff's Office at 479-495-4881, or their local police.
