The Analytical Characterization event covers advanced characterization technologies for a range of complex therapeutic proteins to provide a fuller understanding of the product, to ensure safety and efficacy, and to facilitate smooth and efficient interaction with the regulatory authorities. It focuses on assay methodology and validation, identification of hot spots for liability, post-translational modifications, impurities, critical quality attributes, formulation and stability. There will be a strong emphasis on case studies and practical application.

Bioosimilars and Biobetters Conference
Biosimilars promise to lower costs through increased competition, expand access to medicines, and promote further biomedical innovation. However, biosimilars are subject to an approval process, which requires substantial additional data compiled through clinical, animal and analytical studies. It is thus difficult and costly to recreate biologics. This conference presents strategies for overcoming scientific, regulatory and legal challenges in the development and commercialization of biosimilars, biobetters and biosuperiors. Industry case studies, regulatory advice and interactive breakout discussion groups will be featured.

The Bioassays for Biologics conference will bring together key individuals in the field to share strategies and methods for developing and validating bioassays that support the identification and development of antibodies and biologics. We will include coverage of bioassays to test both activity and potency, including cell-based and biochemical based systems.
