Two Hour Zumbathon At The Mall To Benefit Families In Need

Proceeds will go to YMCA to Help Families in Need


February 25th, 2012 – Carson, CALIF.—The Gardena-Carson Family YMCA in partnership with the SouthBay Pavilion located at 20700 Avalon Blvd., Carson, CA will be hosting a two-hour Zumbathon fundraiser on February 25th, 2012. $10 for Adults and $5 for kids.

Doors open at 6:30 AM
Registration from 7am-8am.
Zumbathon 8am-10am
Zumbatomic (Kids) 10am-10:30am
Kids Zone Open 7am-10:30am

Since July 2011, Gardena-Carson YMCA and the SouthBay Pavilion have been hosting a Zumba Fitness class for FREE every Saturday at 9am. The goal is to help the community get in shape. Over 300 people, in total, have attended the free Zumba Fitness class since July 2011 at SouthBay Pavilion and every week there is an average of 100 attendees.

“Besides the fact that it’s a free weekly class, I think the community really enjoys the variety of styles that we offer. The YMCA sponsored instructor, Laura, really focuses on high intensity Latin dances and I focus more on medium intensity hip-hop inspired dances” says Sweeney Mae Montinola, Marketing Manager at SouthBay Pavilion and also one of the Zumba Fitness Instructors.
