Feb. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Jewel of the Week: Moss Agate

Moss Agate belongs to the chalcedony family of stone and is formed out of viscous silicic acid.  Iron silicate solution penetrates into the acid but does not mix or mingle which creates moss green, fibrous, streak-like inclusions.  Moss Agate energy vibrates with the sacral (2nd) chakra and is known as the gardener’s stone or the stone of fertility because of its moss-like inclusions.  It enhances the love of nature.  Hindu mystics believe that agate can help children overcome their fears.  Moss Agate can help liberate us from blocks in the creative process.  It also liberates us from stress and life’s pressures.  Moss Agate loosens deep fear and encourages trust in ourselves.  Moss Agate refreshes the soul.

Daily Jewel:

One of the greatest blocks in the creative process of our lives is fear.  Have you ever had an idea for a creative project and then talked yourself out of it because you were afraid to act?  Have you repressed or restrained your enthusiasm for an idea out of fear and doubt?

The creative process creates change in our lives and many times we resist change.  Many people don’t change if given the option.  For some, the fear of even small changes can feel overwhelming.  Are you familiar with the acronym, “F.E.A.R. is False Evidence Appearing Real”?  Yet fear seems so very real and is such a strong emotion that it can have a paralyzing effect on our lives.

Negative acts and negative thoughts are rooted in fear and fear can keep us from manifesting our dreams.  If we let it, fear will keep us stuck.  Whether you fear lack, illness, natural disasters, accidents or failure matters not.  Many times we fear success much more than we fear failure.  Align with the vibration of Moss Agate, feel the fear and take action anyway.
Eastern traditions teach that you should breathe in fear and embrace it.  Once you embrace your fear, you can move through it.  It is the resistance to fear that makes it feel so threatening.  Embrace your fears this week.  While you breathe in your fear, transform it and breathe out trust and confidence.  Trust and confidence would be ok wouldn’t it?  Notice how different fear feels once it is transformed to trust and confidence.  The seeds of your ideas won’t grow in sterile soil and hanging onto your fear keeps you from growing.

We cannot escape fear.  We can transform it into a companion that accompanies us on all our exciting adventures…Take a risk a day—one small or bold stroke that will make you feel great once you have done it.  –Susan Jeffers
