Vision Engineering is showcasing their new Falcon configuration at Control 2012.

March 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Vision Engineering is a British company with over 50 years in designing and manufacturing ergonomic stereo inspection microscopes and non-contact optical and video measuring solutions.

The Falcon 3-axis video measuring system is a valuable system for any Quality Department requiring instant non-contact measurement in X, Y and Z-axis.  Utilising a high resolution camera, the Falcon can measure key dimensions and features using video edge detection technology, without deformation, critical when measuring small and intricate components.  

Now with new M3 software, the Falcon benefits from touch screen technology allowing users to pan, zoom and activate part view with a pinch, swipe or press.  Part view constructions can be formed to gather additional measurement data such as tangent lines and distances from one feature to another.  A quick annotation facility and a rotatable, moveable crosshair, means it has been designed so easy modifications can make it simpler to share information with colleagues and more affective when working with different coloured surfaces / components.

In addition to the new touch screen software, the Falcon now utilises a mouse for focusing in Z-axis.  Both velocity and positional features means users can get the focus in Z quickly, and then refine their positioning with the scroll wheel in the middle.
