By: Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church For the Orthodox Christians of Buffalo and surrounding area Lenten Vespers have become a yearly tradition. Clergy representing very Orthodox Christian church gather to celebrate Lenten Vespers while the Pan-Orthodox Choir sings the responses during this beautiful service. "We are extremely honored that our parish was chosen to host the Lenten Vespers on this particular Sunday"- said Father Volodymyr Zablotskyy, the acting rector of the parish. "Sunday of the Cross is right in the middle of Lent and by this time we need to be "refreshed" in our fasting and prayers, and Lenten Vespers at our parish is exactly what we need." - continued Fr. Zablotskyy. Each year after the Lenten Vespers a presentation is made on the topic chosen by the members of Niagara Council of Orthodox Churches.
