By: Michael Mitchell The Big Four Foundation was created by Steve Rose, Mike Mitchell, Seth Dodds, and Jeff Morris. The four friends have been holding an annual golf outing for the past five years and donating the proceeds to the Shelby County F.O.P. Cops and Kids for Christmas Program. Realizing the benefit that they have made within their community, the four members decided to branch out. They found a family in need in the Winemiller family last year and held a bowling benefit for their daughter, Madigan, at Bel-Mar Lanes. “The potential to give back to our community is great, and I think we all wanted to step up and create something that we can be proud of and help others,” said Mitchell The Big Four Foundation has many events planned for 2012. The Bowling to Give Back event will take place on April 21, 2012 and will support the Shelby County Vets to DC program. The organization is hopefully planning on sending three or four veterans to DC to help see the memorials that they helped create. The Big Four Bus Bash will be taking 50 fans to see the Cincinnati Reds take on the Detroit Tigers at Great American Ballpark on June 10, 2012. The tickets will go on sale March 16, 2012 and will be limited to the first 50 requests. They have already announced that the 6th Annual Hacker Classic Golf Outing will be held on August 4, 2012 at the Shelby Oaks Club in Sidney, Ohio. They have also released their new web site at www.bigfourfoundation.org. Contact Michael Mitchell mmitchell@bigfourfoundation.org 413 E.
