FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRINCE Magazine offers readers the Royal Treatment with Responsive Web Design
Prince magazine is the first online men’s magazine to feature innovative design

March 14, 2012 – New York – PRINCE magazine, the new online men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine, will be the first in the industry to launch their online publication with responsive web design. This innovative feature allows users to view the magazine with any e-reader as the screen will adjust automatically.

From desktops to mobile browsers, Nooks to iPads, PRINCE magazine makes sure its users are accommodated. Responsive websites adjust depending on the dimensions of the viewer’s screen. This is the newest and most successful approach in web design because it allows a single site to be optimized for the majority of devices without creating multiple sites for each device, as it is done now. “We’re always thinking about users first”, says Bryant Littrean, Publishing Director of PRINCE magazine.

“We’re going to be at the forefront,” Tyler Hill, Managing Editor, stated. According to studies roughly less than 10% of websites have a mobile adaptation of their desktop version and this number is sure to be even less if a study was conducted on just fashion based websites or online magazines. “What we’re going to do is survive this era,” Matthew Grimsley, Editor-in-Chief, mentioned referring to the decrease in popularity of print magazines.

Responsive web design will benefit users, readers, and fashion contributors because editorials can be designed with the intent of being viewed on various devices that range from desktops with screens as large as 27 inches, to mobile phones with screens as small as 2 inches. The same photography will be featured in a well designed manner for users on mobile devices. “The rich content of the type accompanying the images, along with the ease of viewing, and convenient user experience will increase the satisfaction of our users as well as search engines,” remarks Bryant.

The responsive web design will take place with PRINCE magazine’s premiere issue Spring 2012.
