This is the typical dwelling of an Irish family farm. Dairy farming and drystock raising are the staples of life here,with much meadowing but only small crops of potatoes and oats, mangels and turnips.

About ten acres of arable land was balanced by some eighty acres of rough pasture and bog, and supported six cows, with calves, pigs and fowl. Turf, cut in the bog and sold in the town, brought a small but secure income!

This product comes complete with starter pack of 5 incense logs and burner ring.

Replacement peat turf incense logs can be purchased from irishshopper in packs of 20.

Turf is used for burning in many irish fires today - the smell of the peat turf incense will remind you of your irish roots and the oul sod.
