Shed pounds to win $18K with Urban Active and HealthyWage.com’s “Matchup” Competition

March 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Communities across the seven states of Georgia, Kentucky, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee can now compete for $18,000 in cash prizes for losing weight at any 36 Urban Active locations. Urban Active announced a partnership with Healthywage.com, an online network which rewards members for improving their health, an opportunity to earn cash for losing weight, and meeting personal health goals.

During the “Matchup” teams of 5 will compete for the greatest percentage of weight lost over a 3-month period. Each participant pays a $60 registration fee and must weigh in at any 36 Urban Active locations. Participants will receive support online and will have weekly contests that offer them the opportunity to win additional prizes for losing weight. The rules discourage unhealthful tactics by limiting the 12-week weight loss to 16.7 percent of body weight and one-week losses to 1.5 percent.

Those interested in participating are required to register on www.healthywage.com, and then visit an Urban Active location to weigh in no later than March 23rd and complete their weight loss by June 15th. The top 3 teams overall win $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second, and $3,000 for third.
