Follow on Google News | ![]() Fourth Annual Tropical Daze Summer Festival Seeks Sponsors and VendorsTropical Daze, a weekend-long summer music festival set for Saturday and Sunday, July 21 and 22 in Thousand Oaks, is seeking sponsors and vendors. The two-day festival, now in its fourth year, is held at the Thousand Oaks Community Park.
By: Tropical Daze The festival has become a showcase for tropical food and upbeat music including surf, Hawaiian, Caribbean and Reggae. This year will include a special tribute band to celebrate the Beach Boys’ 50th anniversary. It will also feature over 75 vendors, a children's activity area with hands-on science exhibits, games, tropical birds and arts and crafts. All proceeds from the festival benefit Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning (CV NfL, http://www.cvnfl.org) Last year, more than 8,000 festival goers attended Tropical Daze. Sponsors already include Comerica Bank, Better Health & Wellness, Lockheed Federal Credit Union, Big Shots, Macaroni Kid, Conejo Valley Guide, At Your Service, Thousand Oaks Inn, Hobbs & Son, The Acorn Newspapers, Hollywood Storage, Trader Joe’s, MB2 Raceway, Conejo Deals and Ventura Night Out. "Tropical Daze primarily attracts families and couples of all ages. It's a good opportunity for local businesses to reach important segments of our community," says Strong. Tropical Daze hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., both days. Admission is $5 for adults, kids 5 and under are free. Greater Conejo Chamber of Commerce members receive a 30 percent sponsorship discount.
