Urban Active to Host Celebrity “Be A Hero” Nationwide Cycling Event on Saturday, 4.28.12

March 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Urban Active Buckhead is proud to host this year’s Celebrity “Be A Hero” Nationwide Cycling Event on Saturday, 4.28.12 to raise funding for the “Wish Upon A Hero Foundation (WUAHF).” This incredible foundation has granted over 89,000 wishes since 2008 and is a new breed of direct, charitable giving - the world’s largest online social helping network which connects people in need with people willing to help. It is the “Facebook of Philanthropy.” WUAHF grants the Dream Wishes of Americans in need, and provides assistance with: basic needs, healthcare needs, living needs, pet needs, service needs, and educational needs. The “Be A Hero” event will be from 10AM to 2PM EST and continue all day with thousands of “cycling heroes” at over 300 locations nationwide. Urban Active in (Buckhead) Atlanta has been chosen as one of the 4 satellite live stream coverage spots as well as New York City, Connecticut and The Hamptons.

Proceeds from the one-day challenge will benefit the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation. Incentive prizes will be awarded to participants who raise money at various levels.
