QEP, Inc. Showcases Organizing Expert’s Book

Educational book distributor sees need to assist teachers with more than just curriculum
By: Tracey Lammert

April 2, 2012 - PRLog -- In a break with tradition, QEP has added a book to its offerings that is not about curriculum, classroom management, or their normal focus on reading and writing. Teachers are bombarded with hundreds of tasks and decision-making situations per day, but they are often not given the tools to cope with all of that. This book, "Less Stress for Teachers: More Time & An Organized Classroom," addresses the thinking behind how to overcome "the overwhelm" that teachers feel on a daily basis.

“Even though I am not a teacher, several of the topics resided in me, such as Chapter 6 entitled Email: Slaying the Electronic Dragon. This chapter gave me some ideas on how to better manage my own email!” shared QEP distribution director Catherine McGough. “Even though 'Less Stress for Teachers' does not pertain directly to teaching reading and writing, it certainly can have an impact – a teacher will not teach reading and writing as effectively if they are buried in their own stress and mess!”

Former award-winning teacher turned organizing expert Helene Segura wrote the book to guide educators to a more efficient mindset, which will allow them to make better use of time-saving tools, concentrate on the joy of teaching and, more importantly, be happier.

Readers will learn:

*The 5 most critical areas to control

*To create time where they thought it was impossible

*To manage email, paperwork, lesson plans and other tasks

*To set up their classrooms in the most efficient way

*To lower their stress levels during the school day
