People’s Choice Hospital Seeks to Rescue Peninsula Hospital Center…and its Underserved Community

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Peninsula Hospital Center of Queens, NY has played a central role in the medical care and general well being of countless local residents since 1907. The acute care facility and teaching hospital is a literal lifeline for its often-underserved community. Now, after periods of financial struggle and administrative turnover, Peninsula is teetering on the brink of closure. Unfortunately, stories such as these are becoming far too common in our urban centers, where lack of adequate medical resources directly impact the most at-risk citizens.

Fortunately in this situation, hope is on the horizon in the form of the People’s Choice Hospital group. Based in Chicago and spearheaded by practicing physicians, the group represents not only vital capital infusion needed to pull Peninsula out of bankruptcy, but also a team of medical and administrative professionals needed to turn what many consider a lost cause into a shining example of what a modern medical center can be.

People’s Choice Hospital understands the daily challenges of operating a high volume, under-funded medical center in a large urban community. Its team has worked closely with individual patients, nurses, specialists, and hospital administrators at these sorts of facilities for many years.
