Volvo World Match Play 2012. Fuerte Estepona Hosts Golf Tournament

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- In recent years the town of Estepona in Southern Spain has become an international landmark for golf lovers coming from all parts of the world, and the Costa del Sol is nowadays sprinkled with golf courses from the small town of Benalmadena near Malaga to La Linea next to Gibraltar in Cadiz province.
It is not by chance that the Volvo World Match Play Championship, which is part of the PGA European Tour, decided to move from Wentworth Club near London where it begun, to the golf course situated at Finca Cortesin in Casares (Spain), 30 km away from Marbella and 8 km away from Fuerte Estepona Hotel. It is the second time that the organisation and management team of this tournament stay at this hotel in two years. This year’s event will be held from 17th to 20th May 2012.
The Costa del Sol has become the perfect getaway to stay a few days and relax: good weather, Mediterranean cuisine, great possibilities to practice many different sports, the friendliness of its inhabitants, the quality of its restaurants and hotels. Some of them could be seen in Estepona last year’s edition won by Ian Poutler, a total success thanks to the good weather and the fantastic atmosphere.
