Governor Steve Beshear issues Letter of Support for Kentucky Week for the Animals April 7-15, 2012!

April 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Kentucky Week for the Animals is being celebrated April 7-15, 2012.  The special governor-supported week will highlight the importance that the amazing animals play in our lives.  

This statewide event is designed to celebrate and build awareness on behalf of all animals, as well as recognize the organizations and citizens who support them.  Kentucky Week for the Animals is bringing together educators, advocates, animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, businesses, students, musicians, artists, community leaders, and caring citizens in an exciting week of community-building activities.

The exciting week will feature pet adoption festivals, blessings for animals, art poster contests, pet food donation drives, storytelling sessions in schools, candlelight walks for the animals, pet first aid classes, courthouse square activites with community leaders, wildlife activities, shelter adoptions, library events, Easter parade, dog bone hunts, spay & neuter opportunities, educational events, salute to military/working K9’s and so much more! The calendar of events on website will provide information on a wide variety of community events statewide.
