Governor Nathan Deal Proclaims 4th Annual Georgia Week for the Animals December 6-14, 2014!

Dec. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The 4th Annual Georgia Week for the Animals will be celebrated December 6-14, 2014. During the exciting governor-proclaimed week, animal shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations will be hosting animal-related special events across the state in different locations that will be saving lives, building relationships, helping animals and strengthening communities. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens will be spotlighted all to celebrate and help animals.

Events in spotlight include low cost adoption events, low cost spay/neuter & vaccination events,  R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, Save the Horses-Help Us Find the Grinch party, horse adoption events, pet food donations, Audubon Society Holiday party, donation drives, GARP Holiday party, House Rabbit Society Holiday party, Santa photos to benefit the animals, wildlife activities and therapy animals visiting hospitals & living-assisted homes.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K-9 and handlers, free pet adoptions for military, vegetarian meetups, low cost vaccinations, opps to help winterize shelters, educational events and fun-filled holiday activities for families to enjoy friendship, food, music on behalf of the always amazing animals.
