April 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Volunteers are needed for Conejo Valley Days' Special Kids Day, Friday, May 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Kids with special needs will be able to enjoy all the fun and excitement of Conejo Valley Days (CVD) with the help of volunteers who give one-on-one attention to each child.

Sponsored by Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley for 30 plus years, Special Kids Day brings more than 200 kids and an equal number of volunteers to the CVD site (23 Freeway at Janss Rd. exit) where they go on rides, play games and have lunch. The event is not open to the public.

The kids, in preschool through fifth grade, are all from the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Zonta Club arranges for buses to transport the children to and from schools to CVD.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older. "We looking for volunteers to help make the day a wonderful experience for the children," says Mary Lou Miller, Zonta's Special Kids Day coordinator. "Individuals, groups and businesses can also help by making a donation to help offset costs."

To volunteer or to donate, contact Miller at 805-492-5779, email skd@zontacv.org or go to the Conejo Valley Days website: www.conejovalleydays.us, click on About and then Special Kids Day.
