Singer Melissa Otero New Music Video

April 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Melissa sets herself apart from many of today’s performers by being a jack of all trades and taking the reins behind every facet of her music.  She is no stranger to the music industry, learning at a young age of nine years old that making beautiful and meaningful songs was her destiny. This young but seasoned rising star has been paying her dues for years now from relentless touring of the United States to writing non-stop to working with some of the industry’s best veterans.  

Melissa has honed her singing skills working with legendary vocal coach, Don Lawrence who has played a part in the success of a variety of platinum artists such as Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé. Otero’s entertainment background stretches far beyond her amazing vocals with over a decade of experience in acting, piano, and dance.  This helped her to produce a #1 radio hit in the Portland area with her first single “My First Everything” which lead up to her first major track “10:40pm” leading her to International attention spanning from Europe to Columbia to Puerto Rico.  She’s no stranger to working with a powerhouse team, now including famed producer Clay Ostwald (Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, and Julio Iglesias). Together she and Clay showcased her bi-lingual talent by recording her track “Phantom of My Heart” in both English and Spanish.

Melissa has paid her dues in the industry trenches and with her upcoming single “Angels & Demons” she is ready to take the world by storm.  This is a track that she wrote from the pure and raw emotion felt by someone who wanted to understand a friend’s pain. Sometimes we try to reach out to a friend or loved one but they are just too distant to pull into the picture.

The track really can reach out to any demographic of someone trying to go through a difficult time in their life. We’ve all had them and on this road called life we’re all sure to have many more.  Melissa’s vocal tones blend seamlessly with an amazing level of instrumentation throughout the track.  She’s able to showcase her range beautifully thanks to some amazing studio production at Jersey City, New Jersey’s Secret Sounds, where she produced the single along with Stefan Moessle.  As stated early she is an accomplished pianist as well as vocalist, making Melissa the full package to put out a high quality full HD music video experience for her fans.  “Angels & Demons” was filmed on location in San Francisco by Nick Testa of Devil’s Tail Productions.  The single will be released on April 10th exclusively via major media outlets; iTunes and the VEVO video network through JMD Distribution, a partner of INgrooves and Universal Music Group.
