Houston's kid rising star, Young D.

April 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Houston, Texas (Sunday, April 22 2012) – Houston's kid rising star, Young D, 12 years of age also known as Davont’e Jaqualyne Franklin, Came to the rap game to lock it down and he's doing just that. Young D was born in Houston Northwest hospital to Danna and Chester Franklin. At the age of 5 years old, Davont'e knew his passion for music was real and began rapping and writing songs at the tender age of 10.

Young D’s music will amaze you how talented this young man is. Young D describes his music to be "positive, motivational, & inspiring". "His music is very underground and about real stories that people can relate to, says Young D’s mom-ager, Danna. Artist like Lil Wayne, Drake, Bow Wow, and J-Dawg influenced him to become a better entertainer. In 2011, he was a contestant for "Pro Scouts" and made it to the third round. Young D's main goal was to get signed with his favorite Record Label but instead he open up "Salute U Entertainment” with his parents to get his music out independently. His mom-ager, Danna handles all of his promotion through social networking sites.

Young D is currently working on his debut mixtape, "Me Young D", which features his single, “I’m Coming Up”. "Me Young D" will include 10 tracks and collaborations with J-Dawg and Lil Mario. The mixtape is scheduled to be released May 2012 as the first Salute U Entertainment release. Young D leaves you with these words, “Follow your vision and never give up”.
