Do Real Estate Agents Thank Home Buyers With Gifts: Survey

In the 2nd Bi-Annual Real Estate Agents Gifts Survey, home buyers are being invited to reveal if they were thanked with a gift by their real estate agent when they bought their house or apartment.

April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- One of the most expensive purchases anyone can ever buy is a house or apartment.

Yet for the hundreds of thousands - even millions - of dollars that these homes can cost, it seems very few home buyers are being thanked with gifts by those who sold it to them.

The 2nd Bi-Annual Real Estate Agents Gifts Survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2ndAnnualRealEstateAgentsGiftSurvey looks at the number of houses people have bought, the price range they've paid, and whether they received a gift for spending so much money.

In this second home buyers survey conducted online by gift company, It's In The Stars  at http://www.itsinthestarsonline.com director Elizabeth Ball looks at whether home buyers are increasingly likely to receive a gift.

"Real estate agents receive tens of thousands of dollars in commission, but if this new survey is anything like the first, it seems as though they're not appreciating their clientele," Elizabeth Ball.

She said the first survey in 2010 revealed that only 26% of customers received thank you gifts.

But ew were impressed, with some of the least popular thank you gifts being promotional merchandise featuring the real estate agency's logo.

"'I'm inviting people to tell me what they received (if anything), how much they think they agent spent on the gift, and how likely they'd be to recommend the agent if they did receive a gift," Elizabeth Ball said.

"People buy property all the time: when they raise the deposit, get engaged, marred, have a baby, move near schools or work, downsize or as an investment - so it makes sense for the real estate agent to keep their customers happy," she aid.

"The 2nd Bi-Annual Real Estate Agents Gifts Survey will look at whether the recipients are receiving anything which reflects their life stage or is of personal relevance to them," Elizabeth Ball said.

She believes the findings will be a wake-up call to real estate agents to treasure those clients they do have.

"Please take part in the survey - it will take only 2 minutes - and tell us your experience."

The 2nd Bi-Annual Real Estate Agents Gifts Survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2ndAnnualRealEstateAgentsGi... closes 15 June 2012.
