Sponsored by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of the US Army to celebrate the 237th birthday of the United States Army. Soldiers appreciate a Thank You. A thank you is more then a bumper sticker. After nearly a decade of war, Soldiers are warmed by the knowledge that their fellow Americans appreciate their many sacrifices for the country they love and serve. Special guest is former Soldier and winner of Dancing with the Stars, J.R.Martinez. Also, thanking the troops will be Miss California, Noelle Freeman and Miss America, Laura Kaeppeler. Our Soldiers enjoy a night of five star-food, great entertainment and dancing to a live band. There is an opportunity to say, "Thank You" in a very special and tangible way... through the "Give A Soldier A Night Off" campaign. For several years, the Greater LA Chapter of the Association of the United States Army has sponsored this campaign to allow a grateful public the chance to sponsor a Solider at the annual Army Birthday Ball, Friday evening, 1 June at the Westin Long Beach, 333 E.Ocean in downtown Long Beach, CA.
