New Disto E7400X is IP65 to Measure in Harsh Work Environments

This new laser distance meter has some unique features that set it apart from the competition, and even prior Distos. The housing and keypad are sealed to IP65 dust and water protected and 6ft drop tested.  The new E7400X replaces the Disto D330 beginning May 14, 2012.

The measuring range of the new Disto E7400x is 2in to 265ft with an accuracy of +/- 1/16 of an inch. The integrated 360 degree tilt sensor is accurate to 0.2 degrees and allows functions for height tracking, area, and volume calculations. This also allows it to measure indirect heights and measure over or past obstructions.

The accuracy and range of the E7400x is in compliance with ISO 16331-1, which ensures that this laser distance meter performs exactly as described. This industry standard was developed by an international committee and accounts for favorable, unfavorable,and other specified conditions to guarantee repeatable measuring results.

The Smart Horizontal Mode prevents you from accidentally making direct distance measurements and automatically determines horizontal distances simply and absolutely precise. Additional functions build in are min/max measurement, continuous measurement, stake out function, addition and subtraction of distances, area/volume, painter function, Pythagoras (2 or 3 point), height tracking, and a memory of the last 20 measurements. The display has been improved to a 4-line illuminated lcd and the multi-function end-piece automatically recognizes it's orientation.
