Hispanic Parent-Child Education Agency Chosen for The Exchange's On-line Platform

May 15, 2012 - PRLog -- AVANCE, Inc. is honored to be part of a select group of nonprofits chosen to join the Contribution Center, an online platform featuring comprehensive information about nonprofit initiatives that have a proven, evidence-based track record of impact and are ready to expand.

The online platform was launched earlier this year by the Social Impact Exchange ("The Exchange"), an elite community of funders, advisors, wealth managers, intermediaries, nonprofits and researchers interested in developing practices for funding and implementing large-scale expansions of top-performing nonprofit organizations.

The Contribution Center offers donors a simple way to identify and support the highest-performing nonprofits in the issues and geographic locations they are passionate about. Nonprofits featured in the Contribution Center have undergone independent studies to demonstrate a significant impact on the people they serve.  A rigorous vetting process to select nonprofits for the Contribution Center involved a sector-wide collaborative effort that included nearly 200 leaders and evaluation experts.

"This is an incredible opportunity for AVANCE to engage investors interested in supporting early childhood education and stopping the cycle of poverty. Our program focuses on parents with children birth to three years of age," explains Vice President of External Relations, Adriana Villafranca, "and being selected by the Exchange to be part of this online platform comes at a pivotal point in our history, as we near our 40th anniversary in 2013, we are in the process of expanding our program into even more communities. The collaborations and partnerships that will result from this endeavor will result in even more families receiving services they need to unlock their full potential."

The number of organizations on the site is growing each month and now includes 50 nonprofits and more than 3,000 program sites across the country. The Exchange is currently working with several major financial institutions to integrate the Contribution Center directly into their giving platforms, where high net worth donors are already donating substantial amounts of capital.  In this way, donor-advised funds, private banks, and family offices will offer the platform to more than 70,000 high net worth donors representing more than $2 billion dollars contributed annually.
