Las Vegas Based CPA Firm Announces New Partner Chris Whetman

HENDERSON, Nev., May 16, 2012 – De Joya Griffith,"The Firm" recently announced the admittance of Chris Whetman as Partner in the Firm.

Chris' role at the firm has built on his experience in servicing a broad range of publicly traded corporations including gaming, real estate, retail and public utilities.  He has extensive knowledge in accounting, internal control over financial reporting as well as reporting under Securities and Exchange Commission rules.  

Founder Arthur De Joya, in making the announcement added "Chris has over 17 years of experience in both public and private accounting mainly working with publicly traded companies.  His experience in public accounting includes being employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where he worked with many large publicly traded companies.  Since coming on board his experience has helped us improve our processes while also taking the lead on our recruiting for the Firm."

Chris received his Masters of Accountancy from Southern Utah University, and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Nevada.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.
