TNT Corporate Challenge Final Results

May 17, 2012 - PRLog -- United Arab Emirates, May 17th, 2012 – The third and final round of the 2012 TNT Corporate Challenge came to a nail biting end this past weekend with several teams anxiously awaiting the final results of this marathon event.

Participants playing over the Fire course knew that this was their final chance to make a bid for the top prize. As the scores emerged, tension built, that the prospect of the leading teams after round two could potentially be reshuffled. One team in particular that managed to create a genuine charge was the trio of Inderpal Singh, Nadir Mohammadi and Ayaz Afridi producing the highest overall (best two out the three overall stableford scores) score of 74 points. Inderpal and Ayaz contributing a pair of 37 stableford points from their respective rounds, to win the third round by 2 points. Second place went to the round two winning team of Shane Callaghan, Denver Farrell and Kevin Barrett who again showed their consistency in returning an overall total of 72 stableford points. Kevin Barrett certainly showed his determination to not let his teams grasp on the first prize slip by amassing a superb points tally of 38.

The winning team of the 2012 TNT Corporate Challenge came down to the difference of a single point, which decided who would fly to Chicago to witness the contest of Europe V’s USA in the 39th Ryder Cup. However, after three hotly contested rounds of competition, Inderpal, Rivesh and Ayaz came up short by a single point amassing a grand total of 140 stableford points.  With rounds of 69 and 72 stableford points (in round two and three) their grand total of 141 points was just enough for Shane, Denver and Kevin to be victorious and crowned the 2012 TNT Corporate Challenge Champions.
