Abusive Boyfriend Tries to Find Missing Girlfriend in Latest Novel

THE BREAKAWAY is a young adult novel centered on Naomi Jensen’s kidnapping and how she deals with such a situation, as well as dealing with the memories of the angry boyfriend she has left behind. She knows Brad must feel badly, but if he only knew how quickly she admits to her captors that she is not in love with him, he would feel even worse. It should serve him right, but abuse is something as prevalent in Naomi’s present world as it was in her old world, and she is left to her own devices to figure out which world is better than the other. While she does so, Brad is busy moving past his guilt, but does such a thing as a missing girlfriend change something so ingrained as abusive behavior? Or will his obsession with Naomi lead to her ultimate freedom?
