Groove Auto To Raise $20,000 To Help Military Families In Need, Funds Will Aid Co Military Suppo

May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- From May 15-31st, Groove Auto will donate $50 from each retail car sold to The Home Front Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency funds to families of deployed troops and recently retired Iraq and Afghan veterans.  

Providing support to over 2,000 military families in Colorado, The Home Front Cares has allocated over $3,000,000 in emergency funds since its inception in 2001. “We are emergency support. It’s the immediate and necessary items these military families need.  Help with a utility bill, a car breaking down, shelter, food on the table,” said April Speake, Executive Director, The Home Front Cares. “This is crisis management at its most basic level.”

Groove Auto has set a goal of raising $20,000 in a seventeen day period.  All donations will stay in Colorado and will be used directly to fund The Home Front Cares’ core mission.   “Grove Auto has seen the impact military life has on their families,” said Rob Meador, VP Groove Auto.  “We hope to not only raise funds to help them, but help expand public awareness of the sacrifices they make each day to serve our country.”
