Follow on Google News | Ban Barton for a Season says the Doc in Tony Flood's new bookFormer QPR and Man Utd manager Tommy Docherty talking to former SKY Executive Tony Flood in his new book My Life with the Stars - Best, Ali and the Panties, says that hardman Joey Barton should be banned for life or at least a season.
Hard man Joey Barton should be suspended from football for life, or at the very least for a whole season – according to former Queens Park Rangers and Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty. Docherty, giving his views in the updated e-book version of 'My Life With The Stars - Best, Ali and the Panties' by former Sky Television executive Tony Flood, declares: “I think Barton should be given a life ban from football and made an example of. The FA won't do that, but they should suspend him for at least a season. "He has been an embarrassment to Queens Park Rangers, and I feel his actions have tarnished the image of the club and the game as a whole. “In my view Rangers should cancel his contract. I wouldn't want him in my team. Players of my era must be sickened by his continued bad behaviour." QPR captain Barton has accepted an FA charge of violent conduct against Manchester City's Sergio Agüero, but denied the same charge for confronting Vincent Kompany. Flood, the former Controller of Information at Sky Television and Fleet Street journalist who is revealing secrets of big name sports and show biz celebrities in his book 'My Life With The Stars – Best, Ali and the Panties', declares: “Barton has pressed the self distruct button by slagging off Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer after they criticised him for his latest violent behaviour. Compared to him, Kenny Dalglish is a public relations expert. “If I was giving advice to Barton as a former PR executive, I would tell him to go on an anger management course, adopt a low profile and, if in doubt, keep his mouth shut.” 'My Life With The Stars - Best, Ali and the Panties' contains revelations about George Best, Muhammad Ali, Bobby Moore, Frank Sinatra, Joan Collins, Peter Sellers, Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley and other big name stars. The paperback version is available on Amazon for £8.99, but signed copies can be obtained from the publisher My Voice Publishing for the same price with no postage charge by contacting www.mvpub.co.uk End
