By: Randy Kirk & Associates In fact, over the past week there was quite a big flap made about the $20,000 bicycles that might be added to your stable, were you so inclined. KTLA's Weekend Sunday Morning TV Show decided to learn more about such exotic equipment and went to the obvious place for instruction, the premier road bike shop in OC, A Road Bike 4U. Here's the video of their interview with professional bicycle fitting specialist Barrett Brauer.. http://www.ktla.com/ The shop has some of the biggest brands in the road bike world, including Giant, Scott, BMC, Pinarello, Blue & Guru. Once you decide which bike you want, there is also the matter of getting a professional fitting. Barrett explains: "The beauty of a fine bicycle is that you and the bike should feel like you become one. But in order for that to happen, you need to fit the bike perfectly. We have equipped our shop with the most sophisticated tools available to make sure that you will have optimum power, be able to go the distance, and do so without injury." In addition to a professional fitting, most cyclists today want the full experience. That means shoes, apparel, helmet, accessories, and nutrition. A Road Bike 4U owner, Bruce Marshall notes: "We have created a shop that caters specifically to the road bike enthusiast. We want the beginners, and we have entry level bikes just for them. Then we can help riders of any capability, move to the next level." The shop employees are all serious cyclists with plenty of experience in the racing community. The shop offers rides and even a place for like-minded folks to hang out and talk the talk before and after riding the ride.
