STEVIE WONDER, BRANDY, KEYSHIA COLE, ASSEMBLYMAN MIKE DAVIS, NICK YOUNG, ALONG WITH MANY OTHER STARS SHOWED UP TO SUPPORT MAGIC JOHNSON’S NEW ROLE WITH THE LA DODGERS AS HE RECEIVES A CITY PROCLAMATION.

LOS ANGELES, CA – RnB Live Hollywood hosted the official celebration of Magic Johnson’s involvement with Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday evening, May 30, 2012 in Studio City. The Los Angeles Dodgers have proudly welcomed their new owner, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, the first African American owner of a Major League Baseball team.

This historic celebration brought out some of Hollywood’s top trailblazers and industry insiders to show their support.  Celebrities who attended the event included Stevie Wonder, Brandy Norwood, Keyshia Cole, Nick Young (Los Angeles Clippers), James Van Der Beek, Doug Robb, Malaysia Pargo and Imani Showalter, just to name a few.

Johnson has become involved in various entrepreneurial endeavors across LA, but his involvement with the Los Angeles Dodgers has Angelenos buzzing.  RnB Live Hollywood’s celebration ignited excitement throughout the city, with local and national press, fans and industry executives raving about the evening and the new partnership.

Co-Executive Producer of RnB Live Hollywood, Greg Lites, was honored to be a part of this memorable event, saying “Magic Johnson is one of the most important and influential figures in Los Angeles. The impact he has had in Southern California in sports and the business community is truly remarkable. We are proud that Magic chose RnB Live Hollywood as his host venue for his celebratory party as the new owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.”

Guests enjoyed an intimate atmosphere and live performances by some of R&B’s most promising and aspiring artists. The night was hosted by comedian Chris Spencer, while DeeJay ER kept the crowd grooving to classic R&B sounds throughout the night.  The evening featured a surprise performance of “Love” by Keyshia Cole as well as performances by Jaiden, Josh London and many more.
