NYC Environmental Professionals Armed With Latest Sampling Techniques to Combat IAQ Problems

June 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Eric Ciotti, Business Development Manager for EMSL, led the workshop for a large group of New York-area environmental professionals, who received continuing education credits for their participation.

The popular workshop, held May 31, 2012, was dedicated to helping indoor air quality (IAQ) professionals understand sampling techniques for fungi. Topics covered fungal cultures, PCR, allergens, mVOCs, and mycotoxins, among others.

The course was approved for 8 continuing education credits from the America Council for Accredited Certifications (ACAC), 1.0 Cleaning/Restoration, Inspection or Master Categories (CEC) for IICRC and 8 credits for InterNACHI. The workshop was also ABIH compliant.

During the workshop, attendees learned the pros and cons of each sampling and analytical technique, in addition to understanding how to interpret the data and apply it to IAQ investigation strategies.
