Follow on Google News | ![]() Denver Accepts New Provider for Body Artist Bloodborne Pathogens TrainingThe Denver Department of Environmental Health has added the Body Art Training Group to its list of acceptable providers for body artist bloodborne pathogens training.
Tattoo artists and body piercers can now satisfy Denver’s bloodborne pathogens training requirement by taking the Body Art Training Group's online course “Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals” "Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals" This online course also complies with OSHA’s initial and annual bloodborne pathogens training requirements. After successful completion of this course, a Certificate of Completion can be immediately printed. On this website, tattoo artists and body piercers can also find other training courses and a body art blog that contains legislative updates and articles on body art safety. In-person classes are also available. Kathy Hartman, an instructor at the Body Art Training Group, gives in-shop classes on bloodborne pathogens and on developing a body art shop Exposure Control and Infection Prevention Plan. Since 2008, the Body Art Training Group has offered on-site bloodborne pathogens training for body art professionals.
