Virginia approves Body Art Training Group as a provider of bloodborne pathogens training

Virginia tattoo artists and body piercers can meet state BBP training requirements by taking a Body Art Training Group online course.
 
RICHMOND, Va. - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- The Board of Barbers and Cosmetology, Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, has approved the Body Art Training Group as a provider of bloodborne pathogens training for tattoo artists and body piercers.

To obtain BBP training, Virginia body art practitioners can visit the Your Training Place website and take Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals (BBP300).

Bloodborne Pathogens Training and Infection Control for Body Art Professionals is a narrated course that has five sections: OSHA; Pathogens and Communicable Diseases; Chain of Infection; Exposure Control Plans; and Methods of Compliance.

This course complies with the initial and annual bloodborne pathogens training requirements of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030. After successful completion of this course, a Certificate of Completion can be printed.

The Body Art Training Group's online bloodborne pathogens courses have been approved by the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals and the American Electrology Association. In addition, these courses have been approved or recognized by thirty-one states.
