Follow on Google News | ![]() Sessions on Body Art Regulations to be Given at NEHA Annual Educational ConferenceThe Body Art Training Group will participate in sessions on body art regulations that will be given at the 76th Annual Educational Conference of the National Environmental Health Association in San Diego.
The first session, "Getting a State Body Art Law in Place" will be given by Kathy Hartman, an instructor at the Body Art Training Group, and Greg Schirle, a Solid Waste Specialist with San Mateo County. They will give an overview of California's new Safe Body Art Act by speaking about its legislative development, purpose, and requirements. The second session, "Inspection Basics", will cover body art inspection basics and feature demonstrations and discussions. This session will be led by Heather Stachelrodt, a health inspector with San Diego County, and Cathy Montie, a San Diego tattoo shop owner and practitioner. The third session, "Round Table Discussion with Industry and Regulators", will include the speakers from the prior two sessions. They will answer any and all questions about body art safety and body art regulations!
