Follow on Google News | ![]() "Tee Time for Tots" Golf Tournament Raises $14,000+ for Fort Myers Child Care CentersChild Care of Southwest Florida, with 3 Fort Myers child care centers and 3 others in LaBelle, Lehigh Acres, and Clewiston, held its third annual "Tee Time for Tots" golf tournament and raised more than $14,000.
By: ISGFL A total of 80 golfers participated in the tournament at the Pelican Preserve Golf Club. Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott and his team of Ryan Bell, Morgan Bowden and Tom Schmidt took home the first place honors. In second place was the BB&T Oswald Trippe and Co. team of Bob Bassett, David Owen, Ed Castner and Gray Davis. Major sponsors of the tournament were UBS and Fort Myers Audi, which would have given an Audi6 to anyone who hit a hole-in-one during the tournament. “Nobody won the car, but everybody had a good time knowing that their entry fees will be used to provide child care scholarships for children from low-income families,” said Child Care of Southwest Florida Development Director Linda McNabb (http://www.ccswfl.org/ An awards luncheon and raffle followed the morning of golf.
