June 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Going Green has been a subtle subject in the pest control industry.  It is being mentioned more an more.  New products are coming out that are making bold Green claims, and articles are popping up about the value of Green Pest control.  EcoEducation Center has taken an important position in this subject.

The EcoEducation Center has become popular for the quality of its training courses and its stand on certification that has been earned through a regiment of study, testing and certification.  The Green Pest Control course has proven to be a powerful introduction for nearly any size pest service.

As a Green Pest Control service, the company demonstrates a commitment to a serious Green service.  The facts are that most pest control services has a long history of using toxic and chemical-heavy products that has serious warnings for the health of anyone exposed to the treatments.

Pesticides has become so common that they are now found in water treatment facilities, the dust of buildings, and even in the water table on many neighborhoods.  The need to radically change the way pest are managed is being addressed by EPA and OSHA, and more than a few lawsuit for health injury have been filed in various courts.

Pesticides are one segment of the overall concern for chemical exposure of children, families, and workers.  It is, nonetheless, a very serious matter of concern.  We know that DDT was commonly used around the world until the fact came out about it powerful impact on people, the water, and animal life.  DDT was a very effective pesticide, but it did more than kill insects.  It was killing eagle, turning up in mother's milk, and directly linked to some very bad diseases.

What will we discover next?  Brodifacoum is a highly lethal 4-hydroxycoumarin vitamin K antagonist anticoagulant poison. In recent years, it has become one of the world's most widely used pesticides. It is typically used as a rodenticide but is also used to control larger mammalian pests such as possum.

Brodifacoum has an especially long half-life in the body, which ranges to several months, requiring prolonged treatment with antidotal vitamin K for both human and pet poisonings.  It is extremely lethal to fish, which were not on the hit list for the pest service.

This is just one of many low-level agents used to kill pests of all sorts.  Add this to the thousands of tons of fertilizer used each year, the millions of pounds of cleaning products, manufacturing pollution, and so on and you will being to realize that the pest service is only part of the problem.  It is not a problem that we can long ignore.

Proactive pest services will lead the way to batter solutions, and those solutions will be Green and sustainable.  It is strongly recommended that the forward-thinking companies consider earning a bona fide Green certification, and the EcoEducation center is one of the best online courses in the U.S. or anywhere in the world.   Online courses can be delivered at the students time requirements and without travel requirements.
