PRLog -- Santa Barbara, CA – Recent drug induced attacks in Florida and Louisiana involving cannibalism have made “Zombie Apocalypse” a very popular headline in the news lately. While the Zombie Apocalypse may not be a reality… yet, it is the inspiration for CrossFit Pacific Coast’s new six-week bootcamp, appropriately called Zombie Apocalypse Training (ZAT). The bootcamp will begin with an initial orientation on July 12th, and includes three one-hour group-training sessions per week, and nutrition guidance for maximizing weight loss and fitness gains. Each class will be led by a certified and experienced CrossFit Pacific Coast trainer, and involve constantly varied workouts designed to challenge all fitness levels. Workouts will prepare athletes for general fitness necessities such as running a 5k, scaling a fence, properly picking up and supporting a heavy load, and also maintaining a lean and healthy body weight. The bootcamp will conclude with a fun and challenging “Zombie Obstacle Course” on August 25th. CrossFit Pacific Coast co-owner and head programmer Eric Malzone said, “Since we opened, we’ve used the Zombie Apocalypse as an analogy for physical preparedness, so when we thought about starting a bootcamp, it seemed like a great way to help us stand out. When the Zombies come, our athletes will be ready.”
