Xcar360 Teach You How to use vag com 11.8

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Recently, I saw some discussions about vagcom cables when I visit vw audi forums. Many people are looking for new vag com cables. As for the new cables, there is a newest version vag11.8 for all VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models, which covers the latest models. Since many people are not familiar with it, I would like to give a simple introduction and usage here for you.

Newest version vag com 11.8 features:
1. VAG COM 11.8 supports all the VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda models from old to the latest, like the new 4G-chassis Audi A6. Including models using a direct CAN connection for diagnostics.
2. The cable is connected with USB port to PC and HEX CAN 16PIN OBDII port to the car ECU.
3. The software (VCDS Beta 11.8.0) can be installed on Windows XP system.
4. Access all control moduels with KWP-2000 protocols (2001+ Teves Mk.60 ABS, numerous 2002+ modules), KWP6000 (CAN) and KWP7000 (UDS).
5. The new vag 11.8 is said to have been revised and expanded ROD (ODX) Data and Label Files. And the installer size is more reasonable.

VAG11.8 VCDS use guide:
If you have got a VAG11.8, here is some steps on how to use for you:
After you have install the new VCDS software successfully, now please open VAG COM 11.8 diagnose software.
1. Click the [Option] button, choose the right port first, then click [Test] (remember to connect the cable to PC), if approved, there will be a window shows COM port communication ok. Then click [Save] to save your setting.
2. Then you need to Select a Control Module. Let’s take engine as an example.
Click [Select control module], choose [01 Engine]. The software will read out the engine information.
3. You can click [Fault code] to check engine trouble codes. There are some options for you to print, copy, save, or clear the codes.

See, actually, the software is easy to use, similar with the older versions.
