Green Clean Institute Technician Program

As an entry point, the Green Clean Institute Technician course is the smart way to start your journey to a Green cleaning service.

June 25, 2012 - PRLog -- The Green Clean Institute has two paths to certification.  One is the full GCI firm certification where it takes a minimum of six people to earn their GCIC Technician certificate.  The purpose is to insure that the Green education is getting to the management and the frontline workers.

The other certification is for the individual to earn the Green Clean Technician certificate as the first step in the right direction.  The GCIC Technician is part of a stair-step program that can lead to a GCIC Firm certification as the company grows.

With growing rumblings from government agencies like the FTC, businesses are a little worried that a crackdown on self-appointed Green claims may be coming.  Reports of the FTC suing more than forty firms for improper advertising is meant to send a signal to the rest of the Green pretenders not yet taking the honest path to credentials.

The Green Clean Institute [http://www.greencleaninstitute.com] positioned itself as a proper third-party authority to offer the certifications needed for the Green cleaning industry.  The first was the not-so-easy process of acquiring a federal trademark on the Principal Registry.  This was the same route taken by Green Seal.  With more than 3000 firms having used the Green Clean Institute education and certification program, the certification is now well-known and authoritative.

The other mission of the Green Clean Institute is to get the education to those doing the work and not just the front office.  In reality, shouldn't those involved in the actual cleaning be up-to-speed with the issues of Green cleaning?

While the ultimate goal of the program is develop company-wide Green cleaning education, it was understood that there are small and large cleaning companies working in every city of the country.  Making two paths to firm certification made perfect sense.  Firms with more than six full-time worker could get the firm certification program and add as many people to the training as they like.

Smaller firms could start of by taking the Green Clean Technician course knowing that they can apply this toward their firm certification in time.  Every company hopes to grow, and the GCI certification program encourages business and educational growth.

Whether large or small, Green certification says something about you and your company.  More than doing a better job, it says your company cares enough to make the effort.  Green companies have a better public perception, and they should also have a quality program of cleaning in a way that provides more than a Green building.

It is easy to understand that a building may be clean, but not healthy.  Latent issues of toxic chemicals have an impact on workers at every level.  What cannot be properly said is that a healthy building is not clean. Green cleaning is a superior way to clean that is now price competitive with the standard methods of cleaning.

When choosing a Green cleaning company, ask them, "Are you Green certified?"  Getting a "Clean and Healthy" building is a better value for your money.
