Follow on Google News | Beautify Your Flower Bed With Some Help From The ProsDon't want to hire a landscaping company? Want your yard to look like it was done by the pros? Here are 5 easy steps to get you started.
By: Alexis Bohlinger In order to help you accomplish this we have listed some of our professional landscaping tips for planting a euphoric flower bed in your yard. Tip 1) Buy a generous mix of both perennials and annuals. Flowers that re-grow every spring are great! However, these same flowers that bloom and die multiple times throughout the year oftentimes leave you feeling petal-less. The annuals will keep your color persistent throughout the spring and summer. Tip 2) It is scientifically proven that bright colors are psychologically associated with happiness, laughter and good times. Buy a large arrangement of colors. Save the pastels and grays for the cold weather. Tip 3) Layer your planting beds in 3 rows. Start the back row with your tallest plants, preferably facing north. The middle row shows consist of the next tallest, and the front row will house the shortest plants. Continuity is a good thing when planting a flower bed. Tip 4) Plant small trees and bushes that thrive in the winter as well as the summer. When your flowers are hiding from the snow and cold, your evergreens and conifers will stand tall and proud. Lawn ornaments, statues and water features are another great decorative feature. Tip 5) Take care of your lawn. Whether your yard requires low maintenance or high maintenance, you get what you signed up for. Be prepared to give your lawn the time and attention is needs. We hope these tips help you on your way!
