Green Clean Institute Priority on Education

What makes a cleaning service Green? The emphasis has been on products and training. The Green Clean Institute thinks the priority should be on education.

June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- "You may train your dog, but you should educate people"  This is the emphasis of Dave Thompson of the Green Clean Institute.  Training is showing people how to do a task, but education shows them why they are cleaning with a Green commitment.

Learning the mechanics of a program lacks what the understanding of why we do what we do.  Like cooking, some can cook up a meal because they saw it done by someone who trained him.  Then there are cooks who love what they do, and they can make the same meal in a superior way.

The Green Clean Institute [http://www.greencleaninstitute.com] provides an education that reaches the front line worker as well as the management.  We believe these workers are an essential part of the Green cleaning service.  It is less than reputable to put Green products into the system and provide little or no training to the workers.

The cleaning service is more technical than ever before.  We have higher expectations for the cleaning service.  We want less toxins, safer air quality, less trash, and less pollution to the outside air and water.  Building owners still want a clean building.  They also have learned to ask for a healthier building which is impacted by the cleaning service.

The GCIC Technician courses have received tremendous praise [http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/5/prweb9535688.htm] from those taking these Green education courses.  It is obvious, educated workers will always do a better job because they understand the value of what they are doing.

Since January 2102, the GCIC Technician courses have been provided by a highly-effective online eLearning platform.  This has made these courses available worldwide without travel, time away from work, and kept the price affordable.  Combining text and video, the courses have proven to be a great asset to any Green cleaning service.

In July 2012, the GCIC Technician courses will be available in Spanish.  This is yet another major improvement since there are a large number of Hispanic workers in the service industries.

Cleaning services can achieve GCIC Firm Certification when they have trained at least six workers as GCIC Technician.  These means that the Green commitment goes further than a managerial decision.  Now, the people doing the work can be part of the solution as well as part of the workforce.
