Oaps In Group Charity Skydive For Breast Cancer Care

Norma Blackmore (aged 70) and Michael Morris (aged 73) both from Nottingham are set to take part in a group Sky Dive organised by www.80degreessouth.co.uk in a bid to raise over £16,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- The OAPS are part of a 35 strong group of novice skydivers from the Nottingham area who will be taking the plunge at Langar Airfield on Sunday 15th July. The event is just one of many fundraising initiatives in aid of Breast Cancer Care being organised by John Killingworth, a 40 year old charity marathon runner from Nottingham who has created 80 Degrees South - a fundraising campaign in memory of his mother Bernadette who died of cancer in 1982.

In November 2012, the culmination of John’s fund raising activity will be his participation in the 8th Antarctic Ice Marathon in a bid to complete his total fund-raising target of £50,000. John will be one of only 24 British people to have competed in this most gruelling of marathons and more details about his race and other fundraising can be found at  www.80degreesouth.co.uk

Say’s Duncan McDermid at Breast Cancer Care, ‘It is no mean feat for John to take on this arduous marathon. His ongoing support for Breast Cancer Care is really impressive and his creative fundraising initiatives, like The Sky Dive, is a great way for family and friends to get involved in helping people affected by breast cancer.”
