July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- New York, July 08, 2012 – Music and content creators nowadays no longer rely on physical anything save for the devices chosen to playback, upload and stream.  Musician LUGO was able to create a quality musical Album and forewent completely any “physical” duplication or replication of any kind.  Replication companies like Diskmakers (owners of CDBABY) still flood music creators mailboxes each week with brochures, flyers and huge catalogues in hopes for the CD making business but he fact is few if any music makers today make CD’s.  You cant put a CD in an iPod touch.  

Wi Fi is king.  The hardware for music consumption today is as good as it's connection.  The hardware (iPad and iPhones ect.) are used to create and upload targeted distribution of quality music reaching fans and consumers alike.  LUGO created “Sunshine” the R&B Album on his iPhone to stupefying results.  “Devil in Church is my favorite track,  I still don’t know how he did it.” Said Grammy winning Producer for Christina Aguilera “Bassy” Bob Brockman.

“Music creator websites like Soundcloud.com and Bandcamp have allowed  a one on one platform for creators and consumers.  Allowing easy smartphone iPhone and android integration.  These sites pay artists directly.  On the other hand Youtube, Spotify and Sony owned VEVO (media gluttons) will soon begin to pay Artists for content only and when the creators demand it.  VEVO is about to hit it's Billion Dollar mark in revenue.  VEVO Artists, get Zero Dollars.

ITunes, Amazon and Netflix have etched the DVD epitaph. Iphone, AppleTV and Computer downloads streaming tell it's eulogy.  Media is no longer physical.  It is odorless, colorless and comes in the ethereal shape of a megabyte.

LUGO remembers "I am old enough to remember recording in a huge expensive studio on a large 2” tape machine then transferring that recorded mix on to a reel to reel or dat tape then bouncing that to a cassette or burning to CD.  Manufacturers of L.P’s, C.D’s and tapes ran the show, we were all at their mercy no mater big or small the Label.  Today I compose and distribute wherever and whenever I want with my Apps.  Friends and Fans get it all instantly."

The old Analogue -V.S- Digital argument began when Ricky Martin released the First Ever All Digital Record “Livin' La Vida Loca”.  The Hit Billboard #1 chart topper had a brightness and warmth at the same time.  It did not suffer in the least by being all 100% digital.  A new standard was set.  There is no looking back.  U.K, Digidesign's Pro Tools and Apple CPU's cornered the market and are studio staples today.

Long gone are the days of media dust farms, The endless libraries of L.P’s, Cassette tapes and CD’s.  They all can take their place with Edison’s wax cone cylinder and gramophone.  Museums are an excellent home for them.
