Sissy returns LIVE to explore The Aster Pheonyx Project this Friday night!

July 19, 2012 - PRLog -- This alternative rock band is guitar driven- loud, sweet, angry and haunting. The music is filled with beautiful melodies, emotionally charged lyrics and powerful vocals. It is super charged with a back bone rhythm section the bends all limits.

The Aster Pheonyx Project, a rock/alternative duo hailing from New Jersey is comprised of Aster Pheonyx on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Carolyn Marosy on lead guitar. Aster, greatly influenced by Ani Difranco and Beth Hart, fills her songwriting with powerful, emotional lyrics and dynamic vocal delivery. Aster's tight, rhythmic acoustic guitar is the driving force behind her songs. The songs are filled with angst, struggle, pain and redemption. The other half of the APP is Carolyn Marosy, a lead guitarist widely influenced by the power and wall of sound created in rock and roll. Carolyn brings out everything from subtle nuances to a haunting backdrop, to a power punch in each song on her trusted Les Paul or Gibson acoustic guitar. Ranging from chunky rhythms and biting leads, to violin-bow on electric guitar, Carolyn has been classified as a 'guitar tour-de-force'. Together, the Aster Pheonyx Project has created a sound that is unique in character and has the listener humming the songs long after the music stops.
