July 22, 2012 - PRLog -- LONDON, UK:- Bolton Wanderers midfielder and EIE alumni, Fabrice Muamba carried the Olympic Torch through Walthamstow on Day 64 of the Olympic Torch Relay (Please see:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18923697). The Premiership star and former EIE student, has had a remarkable recovery as only four months ago he almost died, during the FA Cup tie between Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspurs, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The Excellence in Education (EIE) Programme (http://www.excellenceineducation.org.uk) who has produced the world’s highest number of child prodigies and is responsible for many world-record breaking child prodigies, including current EIE students who carried the Olympic Torch – Imafidon Wonder Twins  the youngest people ever to pass GCSE, has today praised Fabrice Muamba. In a statement released by EIE Board Member Chris Imafidon said "We are so proud of Fabrice’s achievement! After the year he’s had, to go on and become a part of Olympic history by becoming an Olympic Torchbearer has served as an inspiration to everyone in the organisation, from all the staff to the students.”

The organisation’s alumni also includes Anne-Marie, Oxford University's youngest Maths and Computer Science Graduate and the youngest manager of a Fortune 500 Company, (http://www.imafidons.com) and current EIE students, her younger siblings Wonder Twins Peter and Paula Imafidon who also had the opportunity to hold the Olympic Torch, said ‘It was so cool holding the Olympic Torch! It looks heavy, but actually it's quite light - but then it has to be if there are a lot of people who are going to carry it.’ Peter enjoyed the experience too saying ‘I'm really happy I did it, it’s the best thing I've ever done and now I've become a part of Olympic history.’

EIE Board Member Chris Imafidon also praised the Wonder Twins on behalf of the entire organisation, saying "We are extremely delighted at the Twins’ extraordinary Olympic Feat! What an achievement! I hope they will serve as an inspiration to children all over the country and all over the world. Their sports journey and development, just goes to show that every child is capable of achieving anything and sporting success can be combined with academic excellence. All children are able provided they are given an enabling environment."
