(Ministry, Industry, Creativity) Achievement Awards celebrating the best in Indie Gospel Music were given to recipients on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Independent Gospel Artist Alliance Conference.
By: Nebo Publishing Ray Pope served as master of ceremonies. Todd Ledbetter, last year's Blue M.I.C. Award winner for Instrumental Artist of Year was one of the event's presenters as well as Benita Bellamy (The Bellamy Group), Henry Harris (Spirit Telecommunications) Adding to this celebration was Central South and New Day Distribution each awarding a deal to Blue M.I.C.'s big winners Javon Inman and Robert E. Person! Applicants completed nomination forms chronicling their achievements and activities during the past year. The information was independently verified; nominees and winners were selected by the Blue Ribbon Panel. The 2012 Gospel Blue M.I.C. Award winners are: Independent Showcase Artist of the Year: Robert E. Person Album/CD of the Year: "Beyond Me" by Stanley Johnson Single of the Year (tie): "Hold On" by Derek Dunn & "Redeemer" by Javon Inman Male Artist of the Year: Javon Inman Female Artist of the Year: Pamela Johnson Group/Duo of the Year: Kevin Terry & Predestined Choir of the Year: The Greater Refudge Choir Hip-Hop Artist of the Year: B-Luv Instrumental Artist of the Year: Syretta Thompson Radio Station of the Year: WLOU- Louisville, KY Internet Radio Station of the Year: Christian JukeBox Radio Special Recognition Award: Phillip Carter & Earl Bynum, IGAA Founders Christian JukeBox Special Achievement Award: Theresa Pinkney The Gospel Blue M.I.C.
