Follow on Google News | Travel PR representing Robin Pope Safaris’ Malawi propertiesTravel PR is now representing Robin Pope Safaris’ two Malawi properties, Mkulumadzi and Pumulani.
By: Travel PR Meanwhile, Pumulani, which opened in 2008 and is set at the southern tip of Lake Malawi, comprises ten stylish villas with cooling grass roofs, an infinity pool and a restaurant high above the water. Meals can be served either there, on the beach, in the gardens or on each villa’s private deck. This being Lake Malawi, various watersports – such as snorkelling, waterskiing, diving and fishing – are on offer, while romance-minded guests can also sail off in a dhow. One popular experience is to walk a nature trail to a secluded beach, then kayak back along the lake shore. Pumulani provides the perfect beach add-on to a Zambian, Zimbabwean or Malawian safari, and works very well with Mkulumadzi on a two-centre itinerary. Robin Pope Safaris are Zambian-based safari experts, founded by the eponymous, legendary man himself in 1985. The company is best known for its Zambia camps and itineraries, but is now firmly committed to a Malawi operation, too. Its philosophy is to provide a five-star experience around a good four-star property and, importantly, four-star costs; the standard of the experience, above all else, is crucial. High levels of service and exceptional guiding are the norm. Travel PR will also be revealing details, as and when they are available, of a forthcoming third camp for Robin Pope Safaris in Malawi. Due in late 2013, the property will bring visitors to one of the country’s biggest national parks, Liwonde, home to prolific wildlife and beautiful riverine scenery.
