US 400m Bronze Medalist DeeDee Trotter Shares Olympic Journey With London Inner City Youth

Aug. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- LONDON, UK-YRB International Exposure, a US based marketing and PR firm, is pleased to announce the first Beyond Borders: Diversity in Olympics Athlete Speaker Series at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.  Presented in conjunction with Lambeth Council, the inaugural event is Wednesday, August 8, 2012 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Lansdowne Youth Centre and will feature US 400m Olympic Bronze Medalist DeeDee Trotter in an intimate conversation with London’s inner city youth.

“I am honored to have been selected to speak at the very first Beyond Borders: Diversity in Olympics Athlete Speaker Series during the 2012 Olympics,” said DeeDee Trotter, US 400m Olympic Bronze Medalist.  “I welcome the opportunity to share my 3H (hard work, honesty and honor) philosophy with all impressionable youth in the US and abroad.”  

Created as an extension of the Beyond Borders: Diversity in Cannes initiative started at the Cannes Film Festival, Diversity in Olympics seeks to highlight the athletic prowess and mental stamina of the diverse individuals competing at the most important sporting event in the world.  The ultimate goal is to inspire London’s inner city youth through personal interaction and intimate conversation with top athletes from across the globe.

The Speaker Series will consist of a moderated discussion, group Q & A and one on one conversation with the princess of USA Track and Field-Bronze Olympic Winner, DeeDee Trotter.  “YRB International Exposure is excited to collaborate with the Lansdowne Youth Centre for the Beyond Borders: Diversity in Olympics Athlete Speaker Series with DeeDee Trotter,” comments Yolonda Brinkley, CEO.  “This inaugural event is our way of remembering those without access to the Olympic Games and bringing a small piece of the Olympics to London’s inner city youth.”
