Bring the Family To Kids' Day On Opening Day At The Monterey County Fair on Wednesday, August 29th

August 6. 2012. Monterey, CA. Bring the whole family to Kids' Day at the 76th Annual Monterey County Fair which will be held this year on Opening Day, Wednesday, August 29th from Noon to 10:00 PM. All kids under age 12 will be admitted free! Plus, attendees can enter the Fair for free until 3:00 PM THAT DAY during the Target® Free 'til 3 PM program with a donation of a school supply to the Monterey County Office of Education from the list below.

On Kids' Day, there will be a wide array of great activities for kids including special children's gymnastics and kids Zumba demos at the Shape Fit Zone (West Arts Building) all week during the Fair. The Kiddie Carnival is always a popular destination for children as well as an array of great grounds entertainment that are sure to enthrall the kids. Interactive always fun Circus Imagination performances, Lanky the Clown, the return of the popular Cowboy Bootcamp-Ag-Ventureland petting zoo, the Gossamer show, Heather Pearl Stiltwalker, Hypnotist Tina Marie, Stephen Lord One Man Band, Fables of the West, the Quiz Whiz Game Show, plus lots of adorable farm animals, and much, much more will keep the kids entertained for hours, every day of the Monterey County Fair.

Fairgoers can park at Shoreline Community Church, 2500 Garden Road, from Wednesday-Friday at a cost of $5.00 per vehicle and take a free shuttle bus to the Fairgrounds. From Friday - Monday, fairgoers can park for $5.00 at Monterey Peninsula College with FREE transportation provided by Monterey Salinas Transit. The Monterey County Fairgrounds is a premiere event center set on 22 oak-studded acres with ample parking. It is home of the annual Monterey County Fair, host to many major and private events on the Central Coast, and the site of the Monterey Bay Race Place, a Satellite Wagering Facility. The Monterey County Fair is the 7th District Agricultural Association of the State of California.
